Merry Christmas

Goodmorning everyone,

Just like Britt I didn't craft much the past few months. We were having so much fun playing outside with our friends. But now it's cold and wet outside so we have time for crafting again.

I started to make christmas cards and I think I will send this one to grandpa and grandma.

For my card I used a stamp from Bildmalarna and coloured her with mum's pencils. Mum gave me the flowers and ribbon and I found the cute christmastrees in mum's stash. She won't miss them because they have been there for a long time.

Hi everyone,

it's been a very long time since I made a card, but Ruby and I have been very busy playing outside with our friends for the past few months. And now that the weather isn't that great anymore (cold and wet) we spend more time crafting again.

Last Saturday when my mum was colouring cute witch La La I asked her if I could colour one too. So my mum made me a copy and we've coloured her together. Mum did cut all the papers into the right sizes and the rest I did all by myself.

A card for charity on the Dutch Dare

last week my mum told me about a very special challenge she is doing over at the Dutch Dare Challenge.

Making a card for charity. Mum showed me a website called Post Pals, they feature kids who are really sick and could use a cheer up card. I think it's so sad that those kids are so sick that I decided to make a card for one of them. I hope the girl receiving this card will love it.

Finally crafting again

Hi everyone,

it has been a long time since our last post. But with the weather getting nicer/warmer we played outside most of the time with our friends. And when we had to stay inside we had so many other toys to play with.

But now we are back (we have no idea for how long) with a really nice card. Our grandma was having her birthday last Tuesday (but she's going to celebrate it on Sunday. She's taking us to the fair in town) so we made her a birthday card.

We want to enter our cards into the challenge at Crafty Monkeys where they asked us to make a card using citrus colours.

2 beautifull birthdaycards

Hi everyone,

just a quick post to tell you all I had a great birthday party yesterday. Together with Ruby and 7 friends from school we went to a indoorplayground by bus. We played there for several hours, had a lot of candy, limonade, french fries and yummie icecream.

I received a lot of beautifull presents from my friends, and Ruby and I are going to play with them today.

I also recieved 2 beautifull handmade cards for my birthday.

The first one is from my grandma. She recently started to make stamp/scrap cards and I think this card is so beautifull. Way to go grandma!!!

The second card is this beautifull card from my friend from England Zoe.

Thank you so much for this great card. I love the beautifull pink papers and wooden letters. And this little girl with the watermelon is soooo cute!

I also want to thank Gary, Nikki, Zoe and Danni for the wonderfull presents I received for my birthday. I love the little horse, the very special t-shirt and the yummie easteregg.

A birthday party for dad and me (Britt)

Hi everyone,

yesterday dad and I (Britt) celebrated our birthday for family and friends. Dad's birthday was last Friday and mine is tomorrow. And for family and friends we always celebrate this on sunday afternoon. There was a yummie Winxclub cake and dad and I did blow the candles together. We also received a lot of great presents.

I got a MP-3 player, a digital photocamera, 2 little petshop pets, a barbie swimmingpool, mini-loco (a educational game), new clothes and a friendships book so all my friends from school can write in it.

I have my swimming diploma!!!

Hi everyone,

Yesterday it was a very exciting day for me. I had to swim for my swimming diploma's A and B.

A are the basic swimming skills and B for additional skills like swimming with my clothes on and diving- swimming under water for 7 meter and swimming through a whole under water.

There were 55 kids swimming for their diploma and they all had a lot of familymembers sitting at the side cheering at them.

My whole family was there (only Grnadma Hennie stayed home because she's just home from the hospital). Mum took a lot of pictures and dad was filming the whole event.

After receiving my diploma we all went to our house for a drink and presents. It looked like my birthday with all those great presents.

We've been colouring and painting

This weekend the weather hasn't been that good. It was cold and we had a lot of rain.

We've spend almost all weekend colouring our favorite Anya's.

We did colour so many of them on Saturday and Sundaymorning (see pictures below) we wanted to something else Sunday afternoon. Mum suggested us to make a painting. We love painting but don't do that very often because it becomes a real mess. We don't just paint the canvas but also ourselfs and the complete table and chairs. And what did we paint?....... a Anya mermaid. Mum used some transferingpapers and we painted it. Who said Anya's are just for stamping?????

We love the snow!!!!

We have snow, and we are loving it!!!!

monday morning when we came out of bed, everything was white.

And you know what it still is!

Normally snow only stays for a couple of hours and by the time we finally have time to go outside it already is gone.

But this time we really can enjoy the snow fun.

Mum is taking us to school with our sleigh, and after school we are playing outside with our friends ( we split our time between playing with our new Nintendo Wii and playing outside).

Yesterday we went to our grandparents and went to a parc nearby where they have some cool and fast hills.

We had a great time overthere.

Today is the big day : Sinterklaas in having his birthday

More than a week ago the biggest friend of children (just in Holland) Sinterklaas and his helpers Black Pieten, arrived in Holland.

We are very happy that he is here, becuase that means a lot of nice events and presents.

Last Saturday Sinterklaas was coming to dad's work, and here are some pictures of the party.

Below the pictures you'll find the story about Sinterklaas and his helpers.

Sinterklaas is a very old man. Nobody knows how old. He lives in Spain together with his helpers; Zwarte (black) Piet. There a lot of them. Sinterklaas loves children and a long time ago he dicided that every year on December 5th he celebrates his birthday with all kids in Holland.
In Spain he lives in a very big house. He has to, because the whole year through he is buying presents for all children in Holland.
Half November he gets on his boat together with all the pieten, his white horse Americo and a lot of presents.
the children send him letters with the presents they want to have. He writes down everything about the children in a big book together eith the presents they want to have.(only the nice will get presents so everybody has to behave the whole year).
When he arrives at the end of November there are a lot of children waiting and singing for him.

From that day every on child can put his/her shoe at the chimney at least once.
They put in a nice drawing, some water and a apple or carrot for the horse. At night when everybody's sleeping Black Piet will come and put in a small present and some chocolate.

And than on the big day december 5th, all kids are very excited, because at night there will be lots of presents for those who have been sweet.
They announce themselfs by banging on the door or windows, really hard. And when you go to the doar there a big bags filled with lots of presents.
The lucky kids will have a visite from Sinterklaas or Black Piet. It's a mystery how they enter the house, but they wil bang on the door and start throwing with candy.
They will help unpack the presents and then will leave to visite other kids.
The kids can play with their new toys for a little while and than it's time for bed.
the next day Sinterklaas and his pieten are leaving to Spain again and do the kids have to wait a year before he returns to Holland again.

That's the story about our Sinterklaas. Sounds a bit like Santa, but they only know him in Holland.

Belated Haloween gift

Take a look what arrived this morning by mail.

Some jummy chocolate and two beautifull haloween cards from our friends Zoe and Danni.

Mail came in early this morning. Before 8 am just when we were having breakfast.

Mum didn't think it was a good idea to eat our chocolate right away, so we had to wait untill we came back from school.

Our visit to the anniversary concert of K3

Last Monday with went to the anniversary concert of K3 together with our mum, our niece Dane and aunt Saskia.

And wauw, what a great concert. They were singing all of our favorite songs. We did sing and dance all the time, and at the end we were able to shake hands with all of them.

Britt at her swimminglesson

Don't I look cool in my swimmingsuit???

I'm taking swimminglessons for about 3 months now, and I really love it.

With this suit I can't drawn and I had to jump in the big pool the first lesson.

They use really great words for every move we have to make.

When we have to swim on our back they yell: frog - plane - pencill.

Those words tell me how I have to move my legs.

Right now I only have floaters on my back and pretty soon I have so swim with my clothes on.

I also have to learn how to dive and swim through a whole at 9 meters from the start.

I'm half way right now, but with floaters in my suit it's isn't easy to stay under water.

We both are totaly crazy about pink. Pink toys, pink schoolbags, pink clothes and even our toothpaste is pink.

Today I celebrated my birthday with my best friends from school.

We went to the bowlingcentre where my mum works. I got lots of great presents and had cake.

the best thing was Magic Bowling. Lots of loud music, disco lights, smoke and videoclips. I don't call it Magic Bowling but Disco bowling.

Today I'm celebrating my 6th birhtday.

My mum made 45 treatbags for school and all the kids loved them.

When I got home family and friends arrived to celebrate my birthday.

Birthday cards and presents already

I (Ruby)have too wait another 7 nights before it's my birthday, but the first cards and presents already arrived.

This card was send to me by a very sweet lady from Romania, Mada. She entered my mum's candy a couple of weeks ago.

Thank you very much for this great card Mada, I love it.

The next package I did get came from England. Nikki, Zoe, Danni and Gary did send me (and there were also some small presents for Britt) all of these great things. Two birthday cards ( one from Zoe and one from Nikki), animalclips to hang all my birthdaycards, some candy ( sorry they are not on the picture we ate them already, and we really liked them), a great picture of Zoe and Danni, and A very soft Kitty which Zoe picked for me. Thank you for this great kitty, I love her very much.

And although it's my birthday coming up, Mada also had a great card for Britt. Thank you for this great card Mada, I love it.

Gisteren viel er een dik pakket op de deurmat, met daarop onze namen. Post van Zoe uit Engeland. In de envellop zaten allemaal mooie cadeautjes: een supermooi tasje met daarin een pen, haarknipjes, stickers en allemaal mooie stempelafdrukjes van High Hopes. En voor ons allebei een mooie kaart, die mij op onze slaapkamer staat.

In it a lot of great presents: a supercool bag filled with a pen, hairclips, stickers and a lot of great stampprints from High Hopes. And we both did get a great card wich are having a great place in our bedroom.

Vanmorgen hebben wij samen met mama onze kaart voor de Crafty Monkeys Challenge gemaakt. Mama heeft de diertjes gestempeld en het papier gesneden en verder hebben we alles zelf gedaan.

We've got happy mail

Donderdag kwam de postbode een grote doos voor ons brengen. Post van Nikki en Zoe uit Engeland. Helemaal opgewonden over wat er in zou zitten, moesten toch nog even wachten tot mama haar fototoestel eindelijk gevonden had. En wat zat erin: supermooi postpapier met elfjes erop, een boekenlegger voor ons allebei met een hondje en een poesje. Ook zat er een doos van de disney prinsessen in, met allemaal kaarten, stickers,glitters enz. Kunnen we zelf onze kaarten maken.

Dankjewel lieve Nikki en Zoe, we zijn er superblij mee.

Thursday the mailman stopped by with a big box from Nikki and Zoe from England. This was really exciting. We had to wait untill mummy finally found her fotocamera to take pictures of it.

In it were very pretty papers of angels and bookmarkers with pictures of dogs and cats. Also there was abig box filled with disney princesses stuff. Now we can make our own princess cards. Thank you very much Nikki and Zoe, we love it all.

Fathers day part 2

Vanmorgen konden wij niet wachten tot papa wakker werd. Wij wilden hem zo graag zijn cadeautjes geven. En om 10.00 uur mochten we de cadeautjes eindelijk geven.

Papa vond onze cadeautjes helemaal top.

Hier zijn de cadeautjes die wij voor papa gemaakt hebben.

This morning we couldn't wait till dad came out of bed. All morning we've waited with our presents on our lap. At 10 am. he finally woke up, and could we give our presents to him.

Dad was very proud of his presents.

Wij zijn op school heel druk geweest met een vaderdag cadeautje voor papa. We kunnen alleen de mooie cadeauverpakking laten zien, want als we alles laten zien is het geen verrassing meer voor papa. Willen jullie zien wat we gemaakt hebben, kom dan zondag nog eens een kijkje nemen.
